Create your own lightweight flat shoes with COCORO’s flat outsole materials and your choice of ANCALLS Oat Cotton or Oat Paper Double yarn.

Designed for makers who love simple shapes, natural textures, and handmade comfort, this special collaboration kit pairs COCORO’s thoughtfully made flat shoe soles with ANCALLS yarn. The pre-punched holes around the outsole make it easy to attach your yarn, so even beginners who are new to crochet can enjoy making a pair of handmade shoes.

The kit also comes with a PDF pattern and video tutorial, helping you follow the process step by step.

About the Design

The Flat Shoes DIY Kit is designed to be simple, light, and comfortable to wear.

The outsole weighs only approximately 250 g per pair, making the finished shoes feel incredibly light on your feet. The clean flat-shoe shape pairs beautifully with both the soft cotton texture of Oat Cotton and the crisp, structured feel of Oat Paper Double.

Wear them with the inner pads for everyday comfort, or remove the inner pads to enjoy them as breezy water shoes — perfect for the pool, beach, or summer outings.

Yarn Options

You can choose between two ANCALLS yarn options:

Option 1. ANCALLS Oat Cotton

A soft and comfortable cotton yarn with a natural feel.
Oat Cotton creates a gentle, wearable texture that is perfect for everyday flat shoes.

All Oat Cotton colors are available for this kit.

Option 2. ANCALLS Oat Paper Double

A lightweight paper-blend yarn with a crisp and structured texture.
Oat Paper Double creates a clean, summery look with a light and refreshing feel.

Please note that Oat Paper Double is still under gauge testing for this design, so we currently recommend only 3 sample colors for this kit.
