SOLSOL Top for Kids was created in response to many requests for a children’s version of the original SOLSOL Top.

SOLSOL Top is a delicate knitted top inspired by the feeling of a gentle breeze. “Solsol” is a Korean word used to describe a soft wind blowing pleasantly, and this design captures that light, airy sensation.

The cool, flowing vertical pattern creates a light and delicate look, while the combination of yarn and stitch pattern gives the fabric a comfortable stretch that gently hugs the body. With its calm silhouette and slim shoulder straps, SOLSOL Top for Kids is an easy piece to layer or wear on its own.

This top is worked from the bottom up. The ribbing and body are worked in the round, then the front and back are divided and worked flat. The top edge is finished with an i-cord edging, which also forms the shoulder straps.

The i-cord finish is worked all around the top line for a clean and polished look. The pattern mainly explains the integrated shoulder strap version, designed to make the finishing as seamless as possible. However, you can also modify the straps into separate front and back ties, allowing them to be tied into ribbons.
